Reported by Public relation and International Affairs, in order to expand the scientific and academic cooperation with the Iraq Ministry of Higher Education, University of Salahaddin of Kurdistan, Ministry of Science & Research and Technology and the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Erbil sets a special exhibition in introducing the Potential Islamic Republic of Iran Universities on the 19th and 20th of December, 2018 in the Technical college of Salahaddin University in Iraq.
At the Opening Ceremony, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq expressed his contentment on the presence of predominant universities of Iran and the willingness to make any form of Academic Agreement with Iran in order to promote the academic cooperation of both countries.
Doctor Abdul Hamid Alizadeh, the General Director of the Overseas Student in the Ministry of Science Research and Technology pledged support through his valued experience of the Iranian Universities.
According to the General Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erbil Morteza Abadi, currently there exist 72 Iranian Universities approved by the Ministry of Science in the Kurdistan for the exchange of students, professors and other academic cooperation which would take place with the Iraqi counterparts. He also emphasized that this exhibition can introduce the academic situation and condition of the Higher Education of the Iranian Universities to the Erbil Universities.
The execution of joint scientific and research projects was also one of the highlights of this exhibition. It is important to note that the exhibition held at the Technical college of the Salahaddin University had numerous student and professor attendees participating from both Salahaddin University as well as other Iraqi universities.
