Graduate (PhD program)

With approval of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, SUTIC offers all its academic courses in PhD Program in the English Language. The minimum duration for a PhD program is 4 years (8 semesters) according to SUT rules and regulations. The average course work requirement for a PhD program is 18 credits.

A PhD degree is a requirement to becoming a university professor, researcher, or scientist in many fields. In the PhD programs you will complete courses and workshops and attend conferences all geared towards enhancing your research and networking skills.

PhD Program Duration and Commitments

The minimum duration for a PhD program is 4 years (8 semesters) according to SUT rules and regulations. Extension of the studies is possible for a semester upon request of a supervisor and the approval of SUTIC Graduate Studies Office. The average course work requirement for a PhD program is 18 credits, which may be chosen according to the research topic and must be approved by the supervisor. The number of credits taken by the PhD student cannot be less than 6 credits or exceeds 12 credits in each semester.
